This is my version of the much respected and desired early 60’s / late 50’s Strat pickup. These are handwound with 42 gauge Heavy Formvar wire and have Alnico 5 magnets. I have rewound thousands of these in my career and have applied that knowledge to the production of these pickups. The bridge pickup is slightly overwound 6.4k to smooth out the high end but still retains all of the strat sparkle and high end. The neck and middle are wound to the stock specs of the era 5.9k and have a clean clear tone. The middle is RWRP for hum-cancelling in the 2 & 4 positions. This set is great for rhythm players and those looking for clarity and note detail in their solo work. A baseplate can be added to the bridge to even out the tonal response with a slight bump in bass and mids. Pickups are built with a high quality Forbon and cloth lead wire. Each is signed by me with the position and style noted. I warranty my work against defects but not damage for ten years from date of purchase. Pickups can be exchanged for tonal reasons within a reasonable time for the cost of shipping if they are not damaged.
