This is my version of the much respected and desired early 60’s / late 50’s Telecaster pickup. These are handwound with 42 gauge plain enamel wire for the bridge and 43 gauge plain enamel for the neck . They have Alnico 5 magnets. I have rewound thousands of these in my career and have applied that knowledge to the production of these pickups. The bridge pickup is slightly overwound to smooth out the high end but still retains all of the classic Tele twang and snap. A copper plated steel baseplate is used. The neck is wound for clarity to combat the tonal darkening of the nickel silver cover. This set is great for chicken pickers looking for that classic Tele tone and rockers wanting the spank a Tele is known for. Pickups are built with a high quality Forbon and cloth lead wire. Each is signed by me with the position and style noted. I warranty my work against defects but not damage for ten years from date of purchase. Pickups can be exchanged for tonal reasons within a reasonable time for the cost of shipping if they are not damaged.
